Two Rivers CAC began providing services for abused children in Southen Illinois in August 2001. Our goal is to lessen the trauma that children endure after they disclose that they have been abused. The CAC provides a safe, child friendly environment for the child to talk. The CAC is designed to provide the best available aid through an interdisciplinary team for the investigation and prosecution of sexual and/or serious physical abuse as a child. The CAC is funded in part by grants but relies heavily on private donations from people like you.

Children victimized by abuse deserve a community response that recognizes their special needs. Only through such sensitivity can children begin to deal with their abuse and ultimately heal from their emotional wounds. |
